When Claire and Conner chose the incredible Sapphire Point and Dillion Reservoir for their engagement pictures, I was thrilled! I had visited this spot last fall on a weekend getaway with my husband and I just knew it would be an amazing place for portraits! We started their engagement session at Lake Dillion which was still mostly frozen over even though it was mid April. We did find a spot where the ice had started to melt and I just loved the combination of the water, ice, snow, and mountains in the distance. It was truly so beautiful. We also went up to the overlook at Sapphire Point for another incredible view of the lake and mountains.

I had so much fun exploring and chatting with these two! They were up for anything which was so awesome. Their connection was so sweet to witness and it showed in every image how much they adore each other! Also, I just loved the outfits they picked out! Claire’s pink tulle skirt was so fun and playful. Then her white dress paired with Conner’s jeans and blazer was just so classic and romantic. Claire also brough a bouquet of flowers which was such a great touch. And her engagement ring… oh my! Just gorgeous.

It’s always so fun learning how couples find me. During Claire and Conner’s consultation call, they told me that they had been looking for images of their venue and came across this blog post of mine. While scrolling through the images, they recognized Conner’s parents in one of the pictures! The groom of that wedding happened to be Conner’s cousin! Since they had not been able to attend that wedding, they didn’t know they had chosen the same venue. And now, they also have the same photographer! 🙂 I just loved hearing that story.

Claire and Conner, thank you so much for trusting the process and allowing me the freedom to truly create from a place of joy. Capturing your love was a dream and I cannot wait to do it again for your wedding!!!
