Natalie and Andrew’s summer wedding at Black Forest by Wedgewood Weddings was one for the books! It was the perfect day. Andrew and Natalie were referred to me by another ES Bride and Groom, which is always so fun and such a compliment! I first met them for our in person consultation. I could immediately tell they were they types of clients I adore working with. They were so sweet, so excited for their wedding, and willing to trust my direction and creative input! I loved learning that they were high school sweethearts and had moved to Wyoming to attend the same college. I also learned that Andrew proposed to Natalie at the beautiful Cheyenne Botanic Gardens!
For their engagement session, they chose the stunning Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs. It had been on my location bucket list, and it was an absolute dream!!! I love engagement sessions because it gives me a chance to get to know my couples, and it gives them a chance to feel more comfortable in front of the camera when their wedding day comes.
I started the wedding day with detail photos, and then getting ready photos! Natalie’s mom helped her into her dress, and she shared the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Andrew was getting ready with this groomsmen. I loved that both the bride and the groom took a moment to pray with their parents and bridal party before the ceremony. Natalie’s dad walked her down the isle, and the look on Andrew’s face when he saw his bride said it all. He teared up and it was so sweet to witness. The couple shared their vows, communion, and their first kiss as husband and wife!
We then headed into the forest area at the venue for their family and bridal party portraits. Their bridal party was so much fun and I just loved seeing all of their personalities come out as we did their group portraits. Natalie and Andrew then had their grand entrance, complete with huge indoor sparklers!!! After dinner, we whisked the newlyweds away for some gorgeous sunset portraits. Their love for each other was so evident in every picture. And I just loved Natalie’s stunning dress!
Then we headed back to the reception for toasts, first dances, and cake cutting. Their reception space was so beautiful!! The white and greenery with pops of red was stunning. I loved that the couple had a Bible on their entry table for guests to write their name next to their favorite Bible verse. After the reception events, the dance party started! It was so fun to see Natalie and Andrew have such a good time celebrating with their friends and family. The night ended with the newlyweds enjoying a private last dance, followed by a bubble exit to their decorated getaway car!
It was such an honor to be there to capture their special day, all the big moments and in between moments, and all the love surrounding this sweet couple. It was a perfect day! Congratulations to the newlyweds! May God bless you and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you! xoxo, Elena
