Vail Mountain Summer Wedding

One of my favorite places in the world is Vail, Colorado, so I was thrilled when Holly and Scott reached out to me about photographing their Vail Mountain summer wedding! Vail holds special meaning for them as it’s their home away from home and Scott proposed to Holly in Vail. The couple decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony at the Vail Mountain Wedding Deck, followed by celebrating with their families.

We started the day with getting ready photos. Scott had special gifts for his bride, his mom, and his mother in law. He asked me if I could read a note he had written to the ladies in his life before they opened their gifts. The note had everyone crying, me included! Scott gave Holly the most stunning diamond earrings. The surprise and delight on her face when she opened it was priceless!

As the couple was getting ready, it started pouring rain. The gondola was shut down due to the lighting, and we were starting to talk about a plan B. Holly had her heart set on the Vail Wedding Deck, and so we decided to wait as long as we could. At the very last minute, the rain cleared and the gondola reopened! We raced up the mountain and got there just in time for their beautiful, intimate ceremony.

I was so thankful Holly and Scott were able to have the wedding ceremony of their dreams! The views on top of the mountain are second to none. It was so sweet witnessing them promising to love each other forever with personal vows, rings, and their first kiss as husband and wife!

After their ceremony, we spent time getting bride and groom portraits at the Vail Wedding Deck, as well as around Vail Village. It was an absolute dream!!! Holly and Scott were so loving and comfortable around each other. I just loved capturing them as they brought out the joy in each other!

Holly and Scott continued their celebration with toasts, cupcakes, and spending time with their close family. It was such a special day and I am so grateful they trusted me to capture it for them. Holly and Scott, you two are the sweetest and I wish you every blessing as you start your adventure together as husband and wife!!!
