From the very first email Kylie and her mom sent my way about Kylie and Zach’s Christ-Centered Wedding at Bonnie Blues Event Center, I just knew—these were my dream clients.
I had recently updated my website, encouraged by a wise business mentor to be more open about my faith and the kind of couples I feel called to serve. Not even a week later, Kylie found me, saw I was a Christian, and felt a peace about moving forward. It was such a beautiful confirmation from the Lord, and the beginning of a very special journey together.
A few months after booking, I got to spend time with Kylie and Zach during their snowy, joy-filled engagement session. Their kindness, connection, and shared love for Jesus stood out to me right away. College sweethearts and recent grads, they were grounded, gracious, and overflowing with joy.
Their wedding day at Bonnie Blues Event Center—a venue that had been on my dream list for years!—was truly unforgettable. The entire day was beautifully brought together by Amy from Flourish Event Company. From start to finish, every moment was intentional, joyful, and full of heartfelt details.
We began with flat-lay photos, and I have to say… these might be some of my all-time favorites! Kylie and Zach gave me the most stunning florals to work with, which elevated the entire suite. Add in dreamy calligraphy from Willow Court Calligraphy and it was a photographer’s dream.
Kylie got ready in the venue’s sun-drenched bridal suite with her sweet mama by her side, helping her into her gown from Brilliant Bridal. One of the most emotional moments of the morning was her first look with her dad—a quiet, tender memory they’ll both carry forever.
But the emotion didn’t stop there. Kylie and Zach’s first look brought tears to everyone’s eyes, including mine! The depth of their love and the sacredness of the commitment they were about to make was so evident.
The ceremony was a beautiful expression of their faith and love. Surrounded by family and friends, Kylie and Zach exchanged vows and became husband and wife. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio before gathering for a lively reception full of personality and warmth.
One of the most meaningful things they did was write personal notes for each guest and place them at the tables. As if that wasn’t thoughtful enough, they also spent months collecting fun and unique coffee mugs as favors. Every detail reflected their generous hearts.
And then the dancing began, thanks to DJ David Galvan! But not before Kylie and her dad surprised the crowd with an epic choreographed dance to “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony—definitely a moment no one will forget! Dinner, provided by Mountain Crust, was the perfect laid-back complement to the day: wood-fired pizza, served with a side of laughter and dancing from the hilarious catering crew.
Just before sunset, I snuck Kylie and Zach away for golden hour portraits, and wow, did God show off with the light! After a rainy few weeks, we were graced with the most perfect evening glow.
One of the most emotional moments of the night was when Kylie chose to give her bouquet to her mom instead of tossing it. She shared how deeply she admires her as a godly mother and wife—a moment that brought tears all around.
As the night came to a close, Kylie and Zach shared a private last dance under the twinkle lights and starry sky before their streamer-filled send-off. They’re now off celebrating their honeymoon in Spain, and I couldn’t be happier for them!
Kylie and Zach, your wedding day was more than beautiful—it was meaningful. Full of intention, anchored in love, and marked by your shared faith. It was a true honor to be your photographer, and I’ll forever be grateful for the way God brought us together.
