One of the great privileges of my job is that I get to see families grow! I met Jordan and Deniza when their son Owen was only a few months old. Our boys have grown up together, being just across the cul-de-sac from each other! We have shared many play dates and have been so blessed to have them as friends and neighbors. I was overjoyed to learn that they were having another baby… and this time it was a girl who would be only a few months younger than my daughter! It was such an honor to photograph their beautiful family as they welcomed sweet baby Zoey into their lives.

Zoey was an absolute angel during their shoot! I love lifestyle newborn sessions so much because the baby runs the show. Whether she is awake, asleep, mid feed or just wants to be held the whole time, it’s all perfect. I take my cues from her and follow her lead with my posing. Sweet Zoey was awake for most of her session which meant I was able to get images of her beautiful eyes! Her brother Owen was a gem too. He did fall for my trick when I asked him if his baby sister’s nose smelled like chocolate. He went in for a sniff and then laughed which make for the CUTEST sibling pictures!!!

I was also in love with their master bedroom and in-room nursery! I absolutely love a room with white and soft neutrals for newborn pictures. I feel it keeps all of the focus on the family and their connection.

Congratulations, Deniza and Jordan. You are incredible parents and beautiful people, inside and out. Sweet Zoey is so blessed to be a part of your family! Thank you for trusting me to capture this incredibly special time in your lives. Also, thank you for making a bestie for my girl Esmé! 😉 Love you guys!
